Its a surprise to find out that there are some irresponsible parties which are processing the used cooking oil to resell in the market as new cooking oil with a lower price. Those who are involved with this business are not only collecting the Used Cooking Oil from Muslim restaurants but also from the Non-Muslim restaurants. The government authorities should act in the strictest manner and summons those who are involved prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law and to warn other that are continuing to do the same activities. This will benefit the people to highlight the matters for their concern and knowledge about food safety through the website of Consumer Associations and Malaysian Dept. Of Islamic Development (JAKIM) if there are any doubts of the Halal status.
