Operation Excessive Emissions Detection
TITLE: Excessive Emissions Detection Of Operations By The Department Of Environment (Doe) And Reviewed By The Environmental Foundation Officers.

At the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza, all buses and trucks inspected throughout the Operation Excessive Emissions Detection were held by the Department of Environment (DOE) today. Offences under the effect of Excessive Emission regulations of the Environmental Quality (Prescribed Control of Emissions from Diesel Engines) Regulations 1996 and upon conviction may be fined in the amount not exceeding RM 2,000. The purpose of this operation was to provide awareness to drivers of buses and trucks on public roadways of safety and to ensure they are always at their best and not breaking the laws specified. In addition, it is to prevent the occurrence of air pollution and have a positive impact on the environment.
